I used to be very happy with the OS X version of minilyrics, but recently, it stopped working on my machine (OS X El Capitan 10.11.2, Itunes 12.3.2.35). What I really like with minilyrics was the ability of the app to find lyrics for almost every song, including for relatively obscur songs, and for songs in other languages than english.

Well, sometimes I go out by myself
And I look across the water
And I think of all the things of what you're doing
In my head I paint a picture

Since I've come home
Well, my body's been a mess
And I miss your ginger hair
And the way you like to dress

Oh, won't you come on over?
Stop making a fool out of me
Why don't you come on over, Valerie?

Did you have to go to jail?
Put your house out up for sale?
Did you get a good lawyer?
I hope you didn't catch a tan,
Hope you find the right man
Who'll fix it for you

Are you shopping anywhere?
Change the color of your hair
And are you busy?
Did you have to pay that fine
That you were dodging all the time?
Are you still dizzy?

Since I've come home
Well, my body's been a mess
And I miss your ginger hair
And the way you like to dress

MiniLyrics is a fun free application that can be integrated with your iTunes music player to automatically show the lyrics of all the songs you have in your library.
The program works similarly to the way a karaoke machine does, with the lyrics of the song shown on a little screen next to the music player. They scroll down as the music plays. This will happen automatically and you won't have to search for anything. Additionally, the size of the window that's shown on the desktop can be adjusted as well as its appearance. It comes with various skins that you can use to customize its design.
You only have to push play to start listening to music on iTunes and, automatically, you'll see the lyrics of the entire song on the MiniLyrics screen. Currently, the tool is much more effective with songs in English, although its database does have millions of songs available thanks to the users across the globe who have contributed.
The program allows you to enjoy the lyrics of each song in a very minimalist fashion, showing you only the text scrolling down on your screen. It doesn't need to display any other options. So, you can see the text at any time, even if you're doing something else on your Mac.
