While Sky Go is currently compatible with the Xbox 360, it has already been confirmed that the service will be brought to the PS3 and PS4 later this year. Hi for the last 3 days i cant get sky go to work on my ps4. I get a on screen message we are having problems contacting sky. My internet is fine i have even tried reinstalling the app. Sky have recently unveiled a new addition to the Playstation 4 which will also be available on the Playstation 3 at the start of 2015. In December they announced that the well loved Sky Go system will be available over the newer Playstation range. I just want to watch sky go on the PS4 app. Can I subscribe to sky go without the box and dish?
Seemed to benefit from Sky Go Extra now being available as a Sky VIP reward, so was able to add a new phone, that's 3 devices with that, but wanted to add my PS4 using the TV from Sky app on it and couldn't. Thought that would be OK as it would be a 4th device, 1st and 2nd are another phone and tablet.
UPDATE: Sky has told Eurogamer the Now TV app is still coming to Xbox One - and it will do so 'by summer'.
'We enjoy a long track-record of innovating with Microsoft and look forward to the launch of Now TV on Xbox One by summer,' a spokesperson said.
'We will announce the more details on the Now TV app for Xbox One nearer to the time of launch in the summer this year.'
But what of Sky Go?
'Looking ahead, we will also consider any future opportunities for Sky Go,' the spokesperson added.
ORIGINAL STORY: PlayStation 4 receives Sky Go and Now TV from this summer, Sky has announced.
The deal between Sky and Sony means PS4 owners can watch Now TV on their PS4 from this summer. Sky Go will be available later this year, Sky said.
Now TV customers can use PS4 to watch content as part of their subscriptions. Sky TV customers can watch TV from Sky Go on PlayStation 3 or PS4 for the first time. Now TV support was added to the PS3 last year.
Sony Computer Entertainment UK boss Fergal Gara said: 'Now TV has been a great addition to the PlayStation 3 entertainment portfolio, so bringing it to the new PS4 is going to delight all users of the newest, most powerful member of the PlayStation family.
'Sky Go joining both PlayStation platforms further enhances our credentials as the ultimate gaming and entertainment package.'
Sky Go is the service that lets Sky customers watch live and on demand content in line with their subscription at no extra cost on a variety of devices. Now TV is a contract-free internet streaming service for Sky Movies, Sky Sports and shows on the likes of Sky Atlantic. When it comes to Sky Sports, for example, you can pay a one-off fee of £9.99 to gain access to those channels for a 24 hour period.
There was no mention of Xbox One in today's announcement. Back in November Sky told Eurogamer that Now TV would be made available on Xbox One in the summer of 2014.
When Microsoft published its list of Xbox One entertainment apps many noticed there was no mention of a Sky Go app, formerly the Sky Player, which is currently available on Xbox 360.

Method 1: Close the Cisco VideoGuard Monitor process
Your Sky Go app may stop working because there’re issues with the Cisco VideoGuard Monitor process running in the background. You should try closing the process and see if this helps you fix your issue.
a) If you are on Windows:
- Press the Ctrl, Shift and Esc keys on your keyboard at the same time to open Task Manager.
- Right click the CiscoVideoGuardMonitor process and click End task/End Process.

- On your desktop, click Go, then click Utilities.
- Double click Activity Monitor.
- Click CiscoVideoGuardMonitor, then click the quit button.
Now check to see if your Sky Go app is working properly. Hopefully it is. But if not, you may need to try other fixes listed below.
Method 2: Temporarily disable your firewall
It is also possible that your Sky Go issue results from your firewall itself. To see if that’s the problem for you, temporarily disable your firewall and check if the problem persists. (Consult the documentation of your security software for instructions on disabling it.)

Method 3: Completely reinstall your Sky Go app
When the fixes about can’t help you fix your Sky Go issue, you should reinstall this app to see if this works for you. To reinstall the app, you should uninstall the program and delete the remaining folders as well. Here’s how you can do it.
a) If you’re using Windows
- Press the Windows logo key and R on your keyboard at the same time. Then type “control” and press Enter to open Control Panel.
- Under View by, click Large icons.
- Click Programs and Features.
- Right click Cisco VideoGuard Player and click Uninstall. Then follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall this program.
- Right click Sky Go and click Uninstall. Then follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall this program.
- Press the Windows logo key and R on your keyboard at the same time. Then type “appdata” and press Enter to open the AppData folder.
- Go to Local > Cisco and delete the VideoGuard folder.
- Go back to the AppData folder. Then go to LocalLow > Cisco and delete the VideoGuard folder.
- Go back to the AppData folder. Then go to Roaming and delete the Sky and Sky Go folders.
- Download the Sky Go app from the official Sky website. Then open the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the app.

b) If you’re on Mac
- On your desktop, click Go and click Applications.
Remove the Sky Go app.
- Go back to your desktop, then click Go and click Go to Folder.
- Type “~/library” and click Go.
- Go to Cisco, then remove the VideoGuardPlayer folder.
- Download the Sky Go app from the official Sky website. Then open the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the app.
